Body: The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana is in search of a Full-time Director of Marketing & Public Relations for the Shared Services Team. This position is responsible for leading, directing and managing marketing, communication and brand development for The Make-A-Wish Foundation in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. This position is based in Columbus, Ohio but leads and coordinates overall marketing and PR strategy and planning across five local offices throughout the tri-state region.
Primary areas of responsibility include advertising, managing PR projects and vendors, developing annual reports and media materials, managing the department’s budget, programs and policies. The Director creates or supervises all Foundation external communication — with the objective of building awareness of and support for the Foundation and advancing its mission and goals.
Interested candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of successful development/marketing or an equivalent of work experience; Excellent public relations and/or marketing writing skills and strong verbal skills; be organized, detail oriented, and possess the ability to handle multiple projects under deadlines. Experience in developing and managing programs is preferred. Position requires travel throughout the chapter and flexible hours.
