Body: NO EVENINGS, NO WEEKENDS! United Cerebral Palsy of Central Ohio is searching for a part-time Recreation Assistant to work 9:30 am –2:30 pm Mon-Fri.. UCP offers a starting range of $9.80 - $10.30 per hour. Must enjoy working with individuals with mild to moderate disabilities and have 6 months experience related to a variety of developmental disabilities. Must have an understanding of the autism spectrum. Self-starter with high energy level and desire to succeed in chosen career path. Associates degree in human services or related field preferred. High school diploma or GED required. Must be capable of completing documentation and reports. Ability to communicate and work with diverse groups and individuals. Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Word required. Must be able to learn the agency’s internal computer software program for documentation. Must be able to lift, pivot and move individuals and participants up to 50 lbs in a safe manner.
